Upcoming Events

At the beginning of this year, The Royal Room programming team entertained the idea of starting an annual festival in Columbia City, called the Staycation Festival, to provide quality entertainment and community fun for those who stick around the neighborhood during the summer. Thanks to stay-at-home orders and social distancing, however, our idea of a “staycation” took on a completely new meaning, and our programming team got to work to develop opportunities for artists to perform and get paid while maintaining distancing. In the effort to provide entertainment to our community while continuing to support artists during the stay-at-home order, we have decided to make the best of our situation by presenting The Royal Room Staycation Live Stream Festival!

In collaboration with SHMP and Live Concerts Stream, Staycation Live Stream Festival will present original works and solos by local artists centering on different themes and genres, similar to our usual Royal Room programming but with the caveat that the soloists are each in their own homes or performing in very small ensembles. The Live Concerts Stream platform is designed to accept donations for performers, and 100% of the proceeds raised during the Staycation Live Stream Festival dates will go to the artists performing.

This is an ongoing series and dates are being solidified, so keep in touch with us on social media for updates!
