Join South Hudson Music Project and KEXP on Sunday, January 24th at 5:30pm for Solos for a Brand New Day, a special combination livestream and pre-recorded fundraiser!

Friends of South Hudson Music Project and the Royal Room come together January 24th for a special evening in support of our mission as we ensure a future to provide a home for artistic, educational, and community programs in Seattle.

Each artist will perform solo, as befits the times, for five minutes. With incredible artists such as Sera Cahoone, Jeff Fielder, Ben Hunter, Victoria Parker, Skerik, JR Rhodes, and more, you'll want to tune in to the whole show!

Weekly and Monthly Events



Bassist Troy Schiefelbein and drummer Thomas Campbell host a themed weekly jam session that focuses on a variety of jazz masters. To commemorate his centennial, the Salute Sessions is currently focusing on the work of Charlie Parker.

Doors open at 9:30pm - no cover, musicians are compensated by donation. All ages until 10pm.



Hosted by Alex Guilbert,The Piano Starts Here series highlights the work of some of the most prolific and talented composers and pianists to have ever tackled the instrument, bringing together Seattle’s finest pianists to perform the works of the artist selected for that evening on the Royal Room’s Steinway B grand piano.

2020 evenings start April 1st. Doors open at 6:30pm.
